The most interesting thing I've learned from law of immigration is that if a woman immigrates to this country and is physically abused by her husband, she can get help from an immigration lawyer to leave her abuser and get legal status. I learned that you have to remember a lot of information and one little mistake can cause a big problem. The skills that are necessary for the job is listening skills and communication skills, and you have to be trustworthy because you have to listen carefully to what your clients say, be generous to them, and try to solve their problems. Their client's information is also confidential so they can't talk about the situation outside of their office.
My advice for other youth who are interested in this career is to be prepared to take all the pressure because it's a challenging job. You have to get at least a 3.5 in a UC college and you should do really good on the LSAT because they count the LSAT the most.
