Career Exploration Day

During the month of June, YouthCares staff participated in Career Exploration Day as an opportunity to get a first hand view of what goes on in the workplace. Each youth chose a career they were interested in and were paired with a professional mentor to shadow for the day or to conduct informational interviews with.

After Career Exploration Day, each youth answered the following questions:

1. What were the most interesting things you learned or observed about your career?
2. What skills or talents did you learn are necessary for the job?
3. What advice do you have for other youth who are interested in your career?
